This is my favourite race of the year – The Spa 6 hour (into the night) race held at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium.The venue is fantastic and the circuit is a favourite for most drivers, with the legendary Eau Rouge sweeping corner a highlight.
This event brings the best of Masters Historic Racing, Motor Racing Legends, Historic Motor Racing News plus Historic Grand Prix Car Association together into one grand event with the magnificent 6-hour race evoking the spirit of endurance racing of it’s heyday.
The GT40 is one of the most famous cars in endurance racing – and there were a handful of them at this event including my red ex-Alan Mann Racing GT40 number 7. I teamed up with fellow drivers Adam Jones and Tim Harvey for the six hour endurance race which starts at 4pm and finishes at 10pm. Racing into the night adds to the excitement and thrill of the event.
